Brachydactyly type A2

Overview

Brachydactyly type A2: A very rare digital anomaly characterized by shortened middle bones of the second finger (index finger) and second toe. Type A2 is a very rare form of brachydactyly. The phalanges of the index fingers and second toes are shortened.

Symptoms

* Short index finger * Short second toe * Short middle bone of index finger * Short middle bone of second toe * Abnormally angled index finger * Abnormally angled second toe.

Diagnosis

The phrase "signs of Brachydactyly type A2" should, strictly speaking, refer only to those signs and symptoms of Brachydactyly type A2 that are not readily apparent to the patient.
