Catel Manzke syndrome

Overview

A rare genetic disorder characterized by a small jaw, cleft palate and an extra bone at the base of the pointer finger.

Symptoms

* Growth deficiency * Cleft palate * Small lower jaw * Malformed ears * Extra bone at base of pointer finger * Permanent bend in fifth finger * Single palmar crease * Cardiac defects * Septal defects * Overriding aorta * Aortic narrowing * Dextrocardia

Causes

Catel-Manzke syndrome usually appears to occur randomly, for unknown reasons (sporadically).
