A very rare group of diseases that involves early infantile onset of muscle weakness, loss of muscle tone and contractures.
Symptoms
Spine rigidity Scoliosis Delayed motor development Reduced infant muscle tone Weak infant suck Delayed head control Delayed ability to roll over Delayed ability to stand with support Delayed ability to sit alone Delayed ability to walk alone (nearly half walk after 4 years) Mild facial weakness Knee contractures Ankle contractures Hip contractures Spine deformity High arched palate
