Pyropoikilocytosis

Overview

A rare inherited condition where abnormal red blood cells are very sensitive to heat resulting in their destruction and hence, hemolytic anemia.

Symptoms

* Severe hemolytic anemia * Growth retardation * Protruding forehead * Extreme poikilocytosis * Spherocytosis * Poikilocytosis * Presence of oval shaped red blood cells * Triangulocytosis
