Seghers syndrome

Overview

A very rare syndrome characterized mainly by spinal abnormalities and abnormal throat development where the throat opening at the back of the mouth is absent.

Symptoms

* Premature birth * Excess amniotic fluid * Long thing fingers * Broad nose * Choanal atresia * Increased range of motion in joints * Small tongue * Abnormal vertebral segmentation * Breathing problems * Low set ears * Chronic inflammatory lung disease * Rib abnormalities * Abnormal number of ribs * Imperforate oropharynx
