Discussion themes will support the symposium platform with an emphasis on information sharing that improves the diagnosis and/or treatment of ECD, or provides new information to the basic understanding of ECD. Information shared should include proven, anecdotal and prospective protocols for diagnosis, treatments, etiology and pathophysiology of ECD under the following headings:
- Clinical-Diagnostics
- Therapeutics
- Basic Science
- Future Directions
You will be prompted on the registration form to submit a short synopsis of the presentation/poster topic and discussion theme. Please identify co-presenters that will be part of the presentation on the registration page.
Eligibility Requirements: Open to all qualified researchers and physicians (international abstracts welcomed).
Presentations: All speakers must agree to provide an in-depth and comprehensive PowerPoint for their presentation should their abstract be accepted. Presentations should be 15 minutes in length and will include a five minute question and answer segment following the presentation. Please note:
- Presentation must reflect the information submitted in the abstract
- Introduction slide must include title, authors’ names and affiliations
- Slide deck is due to [email protected] by September 30, 2013.
Note: All of the appropriate equipment will be available for presentation support (computer, projector, screen, etc.). Please bring a back-up file of the presentation on CD-ROM or a USB drive in the event of technical errors.
Posters: Space will allow for 32 poster presentations. The poster presentation session will showcase current and future ECD studies. Presenting authors must be prepared to discuss the information in a verbal narrative during the scheduled poster time.
- Posters must be no larger than four feet by four feet in dimension
- Text should be 16 point font or greater
- Posters must reflect the information submitted in the abstract
- Posters should include: title, authors’ names and affiliations, abstract, methods, results, discussion and references sections.
Note: 8’ x 4’ poster mounting boards will be available on-site for poster display.
Submission Deadline: Abstracts for presentations and posters will be accepted through June 30, 2013. (Please note the deadline has been extended.)
Selection Process: Presentation and poster abstracts will be reviewed and selected for participation by the Erdheim Chester Disease Global Alliance Medical Advisory Board. Selection notices will be sent by August 20, 2013.
