Second International Conference on Immunotherapy in Pediatric Oncology: Progress and Challenges

Goals of this conference are to (1) enhance collaboration and cross-fertilization of ideas and approaches among this widely dispersed community; (2) provide opportunities for young immunotherapists to meet the “giants” in the field and thus enhance their careers; (3) provide the seeds for a collaborative network that would eventually represent a consortium of individuals working in this field, albeit focused on different pediatric tumors; and (4) bring together the community to address regulatory challenges in developing cell products for immune-based therapy, which will improve the efficiency of developing protocols that are acceptable to the FDA.
