Sixteen-month-old Felipe Aguilera has Fanconi`s Anemia, and he needs a bone marrow transplant, but a donor has not been found.

Experts say ethnic and racial heritage is critical in finding a match. So, the Aguilera family is asking Hispanics to be tested.

Fanconi Anemia is a very rare disease, affecting only about 1,000 people in the United States.

"It`s an inherited disease," said family friend Funnie Castillo. "You can only get it if the mother carries one part of it and the father carries the other part of it. So, the chances of that happening are extremely rare anyway."

Testing will be held Friday at the Alamo on Church Street in Aurora. More testing will be held May 26th and 27th.
