As of Friday, there hasn`t been a match.

BloodSource is coordinating a number of bone marrow match drives over the next few weeks. The Cameron Park baby has been fighting congenital acute myeloid leukemia or AML since his birth last October. The disease is rare and affects blood cells in the bone marrow. Trevor is undergoing his fifth round of chemotherapy. Doctors says he needs a bone marrow transplant in the next few weeks.

"I`m just waiting for that call from Stanford to say that we`ve got a match and I`m hoping we`re one step closer by each individual coming in and getting swabbed," said Angela Kott, the baby`s mother.

The bone marrow test costs $52 and is tax deductible. The fee goes to the National Marrow Donor Program. The program maintains a registry of bone marrow donors which doctors use to find possible donors for other patients.

The effort to find a compatible tissue match with Trevor has even expanded to Texas. The baby`s aunt has organized a bone marrow drive this Easter Sunday, April 8 in Copperas Cove (between Austin and Waco) at Five Hills Fellowship, 206 East Avenue E., noon to 2 p.m. CDT.
