SAUGEEN SHORES, Ontario, Canada - The relentless rain did not dampen the spirits of 60 families that helped raise approximately $2,000 at the Liv-A-Little Foundation's annual Egg-Stravaganza egg hunt, April 15 at Saugeen Golf Club.

Among the excited kids who enjoyed crafts, games and the hunt for approximately 3,500 plastic eggs that had been scattered over the driving range was Port Elgin's Olivia Little, 7, who is battling cystinosis, a rare genetic disease.

Her mom Erin Little, co-founder with husband Chad Little of the Foundation, that staged the event, said the rain kept some people home, but the event was fun, and a "great success" as a fundraiser.

“The kids picked up the eggs and then traded them in for chocolate and stuffed animals that were donated by Rowland's Independent [Grocer], and Giant Tiger donated more eggs, and Saugeen Golf [Club] helped us out organizing the event and using the facility,” Little said, adding Olivia is enjoying stable health.
